This event helps to raise money for the American Heart Association. The mission of the American Heart Association is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Our strategic goal is to reduce death from heart disease and stroke by 20% by the year 2020 and also reduce the risk factors for heart disease and stroke by 20%. Johnny Appleseed would have loved this race.
